Film is not a language, but it is like a language, so some of the methods that we use to study language might profitably be applied to a study of film. Film has no grammer. There are, however, some vaguely defined rules of usage in cinematic language, and the syntax of film - its systematic arrangement - orders these rules and indicates relationships between them. The standard theory suggests that the shot is the word of - film, the scene its sentence and the sequence its paragraph.
The production of a film or Television programe is as like as a ship in a sea where the director / maker is the captain of the ship who should have the ability to direct all his departments. Thus a film becomes only a director’s media.
